Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the dealer, unlike the majority of other poker games that players wager with other gamblers. By gambling against the dealer, starting players don’t have to worry about other, more advanced gamblers winning their $$$$.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given 7 cards face up and the house is dealt seven cards faces hidden.
One five card hand and a 2 card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be larger than the dealer’s.
