Net High Stakes Poker- Who is Gus Hansen?

Gus Hansen enjoyed a wonderful year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only player to make it to the closing table in three of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may remember one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker history against Daniel Negreanu. He won a big pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Hansen has made many televised poker appearances and is thought to be one of the strongest enthusiasts in the world. While betting on online poker, a different side of Hansen has appeared. Gus often competes in the 200/400 NL maximum buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Gus usually buys-in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very weak. He sits there waiting for a decent hand and then pushes all in. I believe Hansen is an outstanding poker player but certainly not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is penniless, he has little or no reason to play at the game with the min buy in.

Buying in for the minimum takes most of the ability out of deep stack poker. Gus is assumed to be 1 of the best players in the world but he can’t buy-in for the total amt.. I think tv can alter our perception of the real world at times. The greatest players anywhere in the world might be guys you have will not have heard about. Gus can be found gambling on net poker on Full Tilt. He commonly participates in high stakes omaha high and Holdem. Gus has proven himself as a competition player. Can he back up his talents in money rounds?
